Kansas Keepsakes Retreat was founded by Betty Ziesmer and her daughter, Dee Dee Dold. We looked for a long time before we found this beautiful house in Lyons, Kansas. It was built in 1907 and has 4 guest rooms, gorgeous inlaid wood floors, and fabulous fireplaces. We made lots of changes to insure that we had all the things you could want in a scrapbooking retreat. Then we bought comfortable, cozy furniture to make your stay the best weekend possible. We hope you love our house as much as we do.
Best of all, though, is the over 1100 square foot cropping room just two steps off the back deck. We picked out the biggest tables (8 feet for each guest), Daylight lamps, and the most comfortable chairs for you. We bought everything that we wanted to use and we know that you will love using them also. It has been such fun getting all the great tools for the cropping room. We can hardly wait to share them with you.
We understand how busy scrapbookers are with their families, jobs, and other things, so we will be available 50 weekends a year and sometimes during the week so that you can pick a date that is most convenient for you and your friends. We are looking forward to having you join us for an unforgettable cropping adventure.
I moved from Emporia, Kansas, to Lyons, Kansas, to manage Kansas Keepsakes Retreat. I am married, have 4 grown children, 14 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. I have been a registered nurse for quite some time. I enjoy doing many crafts and I love meeting new friends.
I am married to my soul mate and we have 6 wonderful young children. I am a certified sign language interpreter and am currently working in a preschool in McPherson, Kansas. I live on a farm and have a very large assortment of animals. I have scrapbooked for 12 years.
